Independence Day Recipes here –

Veg Tiranga Rice

Serves 2
Ingredients –
2 Cups Basmati Rice – Cooked
1 Onion – Chopped
1 Tomato – Chopped
1 Cup Green Peas – Ground
4 Garlic Cloves
2 Green Chilliies – Cut
4 Sprigs of Coriander
3 Sprigs of Mint Leaves
1 Lemon
1 Tea Spoon Cumin Seeds
½ Tea Spoon Mustard Seeds
½ Tea spoon turmeric powder
½ Tea spoon garam masala
Salt – To taste

Recipe –

Separate all rice in 3 equal portions

1. Orange Rice
Heat 2 table spoons oil in a pan. Splutter mustard seeds, ½ cumin seeds & all onion. Cook till golden brown. Add Turmeric, garam masala, garlics cloves, ½ of the cut chillies. Cook for a minute. Then add the tomatoes. Add salt. Cook for 5 mins. Add half coriander.
Add 1 portion of cooked rice to the pan and mix well for a minute. Keep aside.

2. White Rice –
Heat 1 table spoon of oil in a pan. Add ½ tea spoon of cumin seeds. Add 1 portion of rice with salt. Keep aside.

3. Green Rice –
Take the green peas and grind it well in the mixer. Heat 2 table spoons oil in a pan. Add ½ cumin seeds, ½ of the cut chillies, the ground green peas, lemon. Cook for a minute. Add 1 portion of rice and cook for a minute. Keep aside.
Serve – Keep a round mould on the serving plate. Add the green rice layer. Then white rice layer. And then the Orange rice layer. Press with a spoon and remove the mould. Garnish with dry fruits.

What you have now is an Independence Day Special Tiranga Rice.
